John Patrick Molina, a 23-year-old resident of Candon City, Ilocos Sur, has been a freelance writer and researcher since 2017. He is the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of JPapers, a DTI registered Ilocandia-based writing organization that offers professional writing services to different institutions, individuals, and organizations to fulfill their academic and business needs.

He is selected to join the Asia Youth International Model United Nations (AYIMUN) 2022 Offline Conference in person in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on September 30-October 03 where his council preferences include Philippines, New Zealand, and United States of America for UNESCO (Strengthening Culture Partnership in the Era of Pluralistic Societies) and Canada, France, and Greece for UNICEF (The Needs of Humanitarian Assistance for Children in War Zone: Ukraine Cases).

In addition, he is also one of the Filipino delegates accepted for the ASEAN Digital Empowerment (ASEAN DE) program offered by the ASEAN Foundation in partnership with SAP. The program aims to equip young ASEAN learners with different competency skills for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (the entry of global industries into newly emerging trends and technologies indicating the era of digital convergence). He chose the Success Factors Employee Central certification.

In 2020, he was commissioned as one of the head researchers of the Climate Change Commission under the Office of the President of the Philippines for the study focusing on the compliance of local government units on the different adaptation frameworks and guidelines that would reduce the effects of climate change on small communities.

Majority of his clients are from education, medical, and business sectors with subjects, interests, and treatments under the qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-method designs. For him, research is interdisciplinary which employs both procedural and exploratory frameworks paving multitudes of ways to construct and deconstruct ideologies, and trends by interpreting the unpeeled layers of human intelligence and experiences.

In 2021, he, along with other Filipino learners, represented the Philippines in the Youth Across Southeast Asia Project, where he was given the opportunity to work with different people from diverse cultural and religious backgrounds in creating research-supported awareness campaigns on several social, political, and moral issues aligned with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization’s (UNESCO) Sustainable Development Goals.

He also entered the world of legal writing when he worked as a legal assistant for eight months under Tudayan and Associates’ Law Office in 2018. He has been long exposed to journalistic and literary writing since 2010 evident that he is one of the former section editors of The Voice Publications. Working as one of the junior technical writers of Idaya Editorial Services in 2019 also immersed him in collaborative-based writing, creating corporate content for different entrepreneurs and other professionals essential for their professional and personal projects.

Experience has taught him how to build strong relationships with all departments at an organization. His passion for writing elevated his love for research and his potential to be one of the youngest entrepreneurs in Ilocandia. He is an employer to three research writers and one statistician at present.
